“Seas of Doubt” is a performance that delves into themes of endurance, memory, and loss. The artist stands on tiptoes for two hours, leaning against a pillar for support, with a frozen cube of blue ink in her mouth. Encased within the ice is a poem written by the artist for her lost family. As the ice melts, the poem gradually dissolves, symbolizing the fragility of memory and the inexorable passage of time.

The physical strain of standing on tiptoes embodies the tension between growth and the burdens of existence, while the pillar serves as both a support and a reminder of external constraints. As the poem disintegrates, only a small, shredded piece of paper remains in the artist’s mouth—a poignant metaphor for the fading of memories and the erosion of personal history.

This performance invites reflection on the impermanence of words and the emotional toll of clinging to what is inevitably lost.
